Picking Up a Female Friend Tonight

I'm sorry I went to pick up one of my female friends without thinking about how it would look or how it would make you feel. I see now that coming to her alone and not telling you first made you feel excluded, disrespected, and hurt, and I take full responsibility for that. I was wrong to assume it wouldn't bother you and wrong not to check in with you beforehand. My actions made you doubt my priorities and my commitment to our relationship, and that breaks my heart. I don't want to be the person who causes you to feel insecure or ignored. I will be transparent from now on: I will tell you when I'm meeting friends, who I'm with, and why. I won't put myself in situations that make you uncomfortable without discussing it with you first. If it helps, I'll share my location when I'm out, introduce you to the people I spend time with, and agree on clear boundaries together so we both feel safe and respected. I understand that apologies mean little without change, so I'm committed to showing you through consistent actions that I respect you and value your feelings. I want to hear what you need from me to rebuild trust—when you're ready, please tell me how I can make this right. I'll listen without defending myself and follow through on whatever we agree on.
