Choosing a Trip Over Family Time

I’m truly sorry for hurting you and Dad by choosing to go on that trip instead of staying home with the family. I realize now how my decision affected both of you, and I can only imagine the disappointment you felt. Family means everything to us, and I know my absence must have felt like I was prioritizing my own desires over our time together. I take full responsibility for my choice, and I can see how it must have seemed selfish. You both have always been there for me, supporting me in every way, and I regret not being there for you when it mattered. I never wanted you to feel like I didn't value our time as a family. To make things right, I want to commit to being more present and intentional about our time together in the future. I’ll make sure to prioritize our family gatherings and be more thoughtful about how my choices impact you both. I understand if you need time to process this, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk. I love you both so much and hope we can work through this together.
