I’m really sorry for what I said the other day. Telling you that you look “more beautiful than the moon” was way over the line, and I didn’t think about how my words might come across. I can see now that it might have felt uncomfortable or even put you in a weird spot, and that’s the last thing I wanted. I take full responsibility for not considering your feelings in that moment. It was a clumsy attempt at a compliment, but it clearly missed the mark, and I should have known better. I value our friendship so much, and I never want to jeopardize that with thoughtless comments. Moving forward, I promise to be more mindful of what I say and how it might affect you. I care about our friendship deeply, and I want to make sure you feel respected and comfortable around me.
