Taking Your Computer Without Permission

I want to start by saying I’m really sorry for taking your computer without asking. I know how important it is to you—not just for school or work, but for your downtime and staying connected. I didn’t think through how frustrating and upsetting it would be to suddenly find it gone, and I messed up by not respecting your space and your stuff. There’s no excuse for what I did. I should have just talked to you instead of grabbing it. I get that this probably made you feel like I don’t trust you or respect your independence, and that’s the last thing I want. You deserve better from me. To make it right, I’ve already put your computer back where you keep it, and I promise I won’t touch it again without your okay. If you want, I’m happy to talk about why I took it and listen to how you feel about it. I want to fix this and make sure it doesn’t happen again.
