I realize I was rude, repeating myself without really thinking, and I can only imagine how frustrating that must have been for you. It wasn’t fair, and I can see how it affected you. You deserve to be heard and respected, and I let my assumptions cloud my judgment. I take full responsibility for my actions and I want you to know that I never intended to hurt you. When I get caught up in my thoughts, I can lose sight of how it affects the people I love most. I see now how my words may have made you feel undervalued, and that breaks my heart because that’s the last thing I want. I promise to be more mindful with my words and to think before I speak in the future. I’m committed to improving our communication and ensuring that I truly listen to you, instead of just talking over you. I love you so much, and I hope we can talk about this when you’re ready.
