I'm sorry for laughing at and making fun of your old chat the way I did. I made a joke at your expense in front of others and treated something personal to you like entertainment, and that was thoughtless and hurtful. I get now that it wasn't just a silly moment — it embarrassed you, made you feel exposed, and probably made you question whether I respect your privacy. Instead of checking how you felt about sharing or teasing, I went for a laugh. That was my choice, and I own it. I don't want to be the kind of person who makes you shrink or second-guess keeping things to yourself. I will delete any comments I made, and I’ll tell the people there and now that my joke was out of line. More importantly, I'll ask before joking about something personal and stop if you give any sign you're uncomfortable. If you want me to apologize to anyone I laughed with, I will do that. I'm really sorry I made you feel small — you deserve to be treated with care, not as punchline material.
