Failing to Answer Your Calls Reliably

I'm sorry I didn't pick up your calls and that my phone being unresponsive left you worried and unheard. I take full responsibility for not reaching out sooner and for responding only with panicked "sorrys" instead of a clear explanation and a plan. I understand that when I didn't answer you felt ignored, anxious, and maybe disrespected — especially when you needed reassurance from me. That is on me. Saying “my phone wouldn’t open” the moment after should not replace taking action to make sure you knew I was okay and that I cared about how this affected you. I will get the phone fixed or replaced today, keep a backup battery/charger with me, and register a secondary contact method so you can always reach me (alternate number, a quick message from a friend, or a scheduled check-in if my device fails). If I ever can’t respond, I will send a short message from another device or let you know the situation as soon as I can — no disappearing without communication. I care about how this made you feel and I want to rebuild your trust through consistent actions, not just words.
