Teasing You About Being a Princess

I’m really sorry for the comment I made yesterday when we were teasing each other. When you said you’re a princess, I thought I was just keeping the joke going, but saying “nope, who told you” came off harsher than I intended. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or make you feel like I was putting you down. Looking back, I realize it wasn’t funny or kind, and I can see why it upset you. I take full responsibility for what I said—it wasn’t a good joke, and I should have been more thoughtful about how it might come across. You’re my friend, and the last thing I want is to make you feel anything less than valued or respected. I’m sorry for crossing a line and making you feel hurt. I’ll be more careful with my words in the future and try to read the mood better so I don’t accidentally upset you again. If you want to talk about it or just hang out and move past this, I’m here. Take all the time you need—I really hope we can laugh together again soon.
