I’m really sorry for holding onto that thing and not giving it back when you asked. I honestly thought we were just messing around, but I see now that it wasn’t a joke to you at all. I can imagine how frustrating and hurtful it must have felt, especially since it came from me—someone you trusted and shared so much with. I messed up by not taking your feelings seriously, and I hate that it pushed you to block me out completely. I want you to know I’m owning this 100%. I’m sorry for being stubborn and not respecting your boundaries. That was unfair, and I don’t want to be the kind of friend who makes you feel disrespected or unheard. If you’re open to it, I’d really like to make this right—whether that means returning whatever belongs to you, talking it through, or just giving you the space you need while I work on being more thoughtful and considerate. We’ve shared so much, and I miss that comfort and connection we had. I hope we can find a way back to that, but I totally get if you need time. Whenever you feel ready, I’m here to listen and make things better. No pressure—just hoping we can turn this around.
