Teasing While Loyal to My Crush

I am sorry for annoying you and for treating your presence like an opening to flirt or make light of my crush. I know my teasing was not playful for you — it was intrusive and disrespectful of your comfort. I take full responsibility for that. I understand that my comments may have made you feel uncomfortable, put on the spot, or diminished the trust we have as friends. Saying I was “just having fun” was wrong because it ignored how you were actually feeling and shifted the focus away from your experience. My loyalty to my crush is no excuse for making you a target of jokes or for seeking attention at your expense. To make this right, I will stop those comments in your presence, be more mindful before speaking, and ask if something is okay to joke about before I say it. If I cross a boundary, I want you to tell me and I will stop immediately. If it helps, I will give you space for a bit and follow whatever boundary you prefer while I rebuild your trust. I value our friendship and am genuinely sorry. When you are ready, I would like to talk so I can hear how this affected you and work out how to move forward together — only if and when you want to.
