Leaving the Phone Call Without Goodbye

I am truly sorry for leaving our phone call without saying goodbye. I know that walking away from the conversation the way I did was abrupt and likely made you feel dismissed and unimportant, and I regret causing that upset. I take full responsibility for my behavior. I should have let you know I needed to end the call, asked to pause, or arranged a time to finish our conversation. Instead, I ended the call without acknowledgement, which was disrespectful of your time and our friendship. That was wrong, and I am sorry. To make sure this does not happen again, I will do three concrete things: first, if I need to end a call unexpectedly, I will say so clearly before disconnecting; second, I will follow up by text within a few minutes to explain and suggest a time to continue if needed; third, I will be more mindful about choosing an appropriate time for calls so we both have the space to talk. I value our friendship and your willingness to be heard, and I do not want this to undermine your trust in me. I understand if you need time or if you feel frustrated — I respect that. If you are open to it, I would like to talk when you are ready so I can listen and make this right.
