Disappointing a Friend

I’m really sorry for letting you down. I know I promised we would hang out this weekend, and when I canceled at the last minute, it must have felt disappointing and frustrating. I completely understand if you’re upset with me. I value our time together, and it was inconsiderate of me to put my own needs ahead of our plans. I take full responsibility for my actions. I didn’t communicate well, and I know that it hurt you. You deserve a friend who keeps their promises, and I didn’t live up to that. I regret any feelings of neglect or abandonment you might have felt because of my decision. Moving forward, I want to make sure this doesn't happen again. I’m going to be more mindful of my commitments and how they impact you and our friendship. If I ever feel like I can’t follow through on a plan, I’ll communicate it sooner so we can find a solution together. I really value our friendship and hope we can talk about this when you’re ready. I’m here to listen and understand how you feel. Please take all the time you need, but I hope we can reconnect soon.
