Apologizing for a Sarcastic Remark

I want to apologize for calling you “pedo” in that sarcastic way. I realize now how hurtful and disrespectful that was, and I’m really sorry for crossing a line and making you feel uncomfortable or upset. It was thoughtless of me to joke like that, especially about something so serious, and I completely take responsibility for my words. I can only imagine how that must have made you feel, and the last thing I ever wanted was to damage our friendship or make you question how I see you. I value you a lot, and I hate that I put that in jeopardy with a careless comment. Going forward, I’m going to be way more mindful about what I say and how it might affect you or anyone else. If you want to talk about it or tell me how you’re feeling, I’m here and ready to listen. I understand if you need some space too—I just want to make sure you know how sorry I am and that I want to make things right between us.
