Apologizing for Retaliating Over Phone Smack

I want to apologize for smacking your phone after you accidentally smacked mine. I realize now that my reaction was way over the top, and I’m really sorry for crossing that line. I can imagine it probably caught you off guard and made things awkward or tense between us, which was never my intention. I take full responsibility for letting my frustration get the better of me instead of just brushing it off or talking it through. I know it wasn’t fair to respond with the same action, and I regret that I didn’t handle it more calmly. I value our friendship a lot, and I hate that I made you feel disrespected or upset over something that was clearly an accident. Moving forward, I’m going to be more mindful of how I react in situations like that. If something bothers me, I’ll try to communicate instead of reacting impulsively. I hope we can move past this, but I totally understand if you need some time. Whenever you’re ready, I’d like to talk or hang out and clear the air. Thanks for hearing me out.
