Editing a Project With Someone Else

I am sorry I collaborated on that edit with another friend without speaking to you first, and for the insecurity that caused you. I understand that seeing me make changes alongside someone else made you feel excluded, unvalued, and uncertain about where our friendship stands. That reaction is entirely understandable, and I accept full responsibility for causing it. I made a choice to handle the edit the way I did, and I should have considered how it would look to you and explained my intentions beforehand. There is no excuse for not including you or for allowing you to feel sidelined. I regret that my actions eroded your sense of trust and safety with me. To make this right, I will revert or revise the edit if you prefer, and I will include you in any future changes that involve you or our shared work. Going forward I will be explicit about when I collaborate with others, ask for your input before acting, and check in about how you would like those situations handled. If there are other steps you need from me to repair this, please tell me and I will follow through. I value our friendship deeply and want to restore your trust. I respect your time and space; when you are ready, I am here to talk and listen to what you need.
