Apologizing for Disrespect and Name-Calling

I want to start by saying I’m really sorry for the way I’ve been treating you lately. Calling you names, being disrespectful, and acting hypocritically was wrong, and I can see how that hurt you. I also realize I’ve been trying to control how you act and not letting you just be yourself and enjoy being a kid, which isn’t fair at all. I’ve been thinking about how my words and actions must have made you feel—probably judged and not accepted for who you are. That’s the last thing I want for our friendship. I take full responsibility for crossing those lines and not being the friend you deserve. I’m committed to being more mindful of how I speak to you and to respect your space and your right to just be you, without unnecessary criticism or trying to fix things that aren’t broken. I want to listen more and be someone you can count on, not someone who makes you feel small or judged. If you’re open to it, I’d really like to talk whenever you feel ready. No pressure—I just want to make things right and rebuild the trust I damaged. Thanks for hearing me out.
