I want to start by sincerely apologizing for not listening to you as you shared your thoughts and feelings about becoming a parent. I realize that my eagerness to express my own excitement overshadowed your voice, and I can only imagine how frustrating that must have been for you. It’s important to me that you feel heard and supported, especially as you navigate this incredible journey of bringing my grandchild into the world. I take full responsibility for not being the attentive listener you deserve. It was never my intention to dismiss your feelings or experiences, and I deeply regret that my actions made you feel unvalued. I want you to know how much I cherish our relationship and how important it is for me to be there for you during this time. Moving forward, I am committed to being more intentional about listening and creating space for you to share what you’re experiencing. I want to ensure that our conversations are a two-way street, where you feel comfortable expressing everything on your mind. Please know that I’m here for you, ready to support you in any way you need. I would love the chance to talk more about your thoughts and feelings when you’re ready.
