Making an Insensitive Comment About Your Son's Sleep

I want to start by saying how truly sorry I am for my thoughtless comment about your son still being asleep at 8:00. I realize that it may have come off as judgmental and disrespectful, and that was never my intention. In that moment, I didn’t consider how my words might affect you, and I regret not being more mindful of your feelings. I understand how important it is for you to feel supported and respected as a parent, especially when you're doing your best in such a challenging role. My comment may have made you feel criticized or that I don’t recognize the love and care that goes into raising him. I can see how that might have hurt you, and I’m sincerely sorry for any pain I caused. Moving forward, I want to be more thoughtful in our conversations. I’ll make a conscious effort to be supportive and to think before I speak, especially about sensitive topics like parenting. Your relationship with your children is so important, and I want to be a source of encouragement for you. I appreciate everything you do, and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
