I’m so sorry for not celebrating your big promotion in the way you deserved. I realize now that I didn’t acknowledge how hard you’ve worked to achieve this milestone, and my silence must have felt dismissive. You put in so much effort, and it’s a huge deal—one that should be recognized and celebrated, especially by your family. I can see how my lack of enthusiasm may have hurt you, making you feel unappreciated when you needed support the most. I take full responsibility for not being present during a moment that should have been filled with joy and pride. It wasn’t my intention to undermine your achievements, but I recognize that my actions had an impact, and for that, I truly apologize. Moving forward, I want to make it right. I promise to be more attentive and engaged in your accomplishments and to express my pride in you openly. You deserve that, and I want to be the parent you can rely on to celebrate your successes.
