Feeling Like an Imposition During Visits

I’m really sorry for how I've been handling the situation with Mom and Dad. I know you’ve been shouldering a lot of the responsibility, and I haven’t been as supportive as I should be. It’s unfair that you’re carrying this burden mostly alone while I’m not there as much as I could be. I can only imagine how overwhelming it must feel to juggle your own life alongside caring for them, and I regret that my visits have made you feel like I’m imposing rather than being a help. I should have communicated better about my intentions and the support I want to provide when I come over. Moving forward, I want to make a real effort to share this load more evenly. I’ll plan trips more regularly and look into ways I can help out from a distance, whether that’s coordinating care, helping with errands remotely, or anything else that could lighten your load. You deserve to feel supported, not alone. Please know that I recognize how much you’re doing and that I appreciate it more than I can express. I’m here when you’re ready to talk about it, and I want to make sure you feel comfortable sharing how we can improve this together. Your feelings are important to me, and I truly want to be a better sister.
