I’m really sorry for how I brushed off the idea of going out on a date tonight by saying it was already too late. I didn’t mean to make you feel unimportant or like spending time together wasn’t a priority for me. I realize now that my words probably made you feel dismissed and hurt, and that’s the last thing I ever want. You deserve to feel valued and cherished, especially when you’re hoping to share something special together. I dropped the ball by not making the effort to find a way to make it happen, even if it meant adjusting plans or being flexible with time. That was on me, and I want to do better. I’d like to make it up to you—let’s pick a night soon that’s just for us, no distractions, no “too late” excuses. I want to be present and show you how much you mean to me, because you truly do. If you want to talk about how you’re feeling or anything else, I’m here and ready to listen whenever you are.
