I am so deeply sorry for not plunging the toilet and the terrible chain of events that followed. I can't stop thinking about how my carelessness led to your mother slipping and suffering such unimaginable injuries, and how our daughter ended up catching Ebola. I know that my mistake caused pain and fear for you and the whole family, and I hate that I put you all through this. I take full responsibility—there’s no excuse for not taking care of something so simple that could have prevented all this. I understand how overwhelmed and heartbroken you must feel, and I’m truly sorry for adding to your burden when you needed support the most. Moving forward, I promise to be more attentive and proactive about these kinds of things, no matter how small they seem. I’m already looking into ways to make sure our home is safer and that I’m better prepared to handle emergencies. Most importantly, I want to be here for you and help shoulder whatever comes next.
