I want to sincerely apologize for playing with my squishy banana during class, which I now understand was distracting and disrespectful to you and to the learning environment you work hard to maintain. I recognize that my actions disrupted your teaching and may have taken your attention away from other students who were trying to focus. That was not my intention, and I take full responsibility for not showing the respect expected in your classroom. When you took the squishy banana, I felt embarrassed and realized how my behavior affected you personally as my teacher, someone who deserves my full attention and cooperation. I regret that I made your job more difficult and disrupted the flow of the lesson. To make sure this doesn’t happen again, I will keep all distractions put away during class and focus fully on your instructions. I value the time and effort you put into teaching us, and I want to show that through my actions moving forward.
