Causing You to Feel Unimportant

I'm really sorry for the way I made you feel like you’re nobody to me. I realize now that my actions and words have hurt you deeply, and I want you to know that wasn’t my intention. It pains me to think that I made you feel unimportant, especially when you mean so much to me. I can see how my behavior might have led you to feel overshadowed or neglected. I know I’ve been preoccupied with everything going on with your stepmom, and I didn’t give you the attention and support you deserve. You should always feel valued and loved in our relationship, and I failed to show that in a meaningful way. I take full responsibility for my actions and the hurt they caused. I want to assure you that I’m committed to making this right. I’m going to work on being more present and involved in your life, and I’ll actively make time for us to reconnect. You deserve to feel like a priority, not an afterthought. Please know that I'm here whenever you're ready to talk. I understand you may need some time, and I respect that.
