Misunderstanding Our Goodnight and Enjoying Moments

I’m really sorry for what happened when I said “goodnight” while you were trying to share a sweet moment about your meal. I realize now how that must have felt—like I wasn’t paying attention or didn’t care about what you were saying. That’s absolutely not how I want you to feel, especially when you were sharing something nice with me. I take full responsibility for my words, and I can see how they came across as dismissive. I never want you to feel like I’m not engaged in our conversations or that I’m brushing off your thoughts. You deserve my full attention, and I clearly failed in that moment. To make sure something like this doesn’t happen again, I’m going to be more mindful of our conversations, especially during those little moments that mean so much.
