I’m really sorry for what I said earlier. I shouldn’t have accused you of trying to get rid of me or pushed you into anger like that. I realize now how hurtful and unfair those words were, especially when all you wanted was to talk and be understood. I let my frustration get the better of me, and instead of listening, I lashed out—and that’s on me. You didn’t deserve to be made to feel like you were the problem or that I doubted your feelings. I know my words probably made you feel attacked and distant, and that’s the last thing I ever want. I want us to be able to share honestly without fear of blame or anger. I’m going to work on catching myself before I say things in the heat of the moment and find better ways to express what I’m feeling without hurting you. I care about us too much to let this pattern continue. Whenever you’re ready, I’d like to hear how you’re feeling and talk through this. No pressure—take all the time you need. I just want to make things right between us.
