Failing to Act Publicly During Crisis

Reason for the apology
i didnt cheer at the invasion, i didnt protest in the streets, and did nothing but vote and tell you the guy we were voting against was a scumbag
I want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for my lack of enthusiasm during the recent events. I realize that not joining in the cheers or protests, and only casting my vote while calling the other guy a scumbag, may have felt like I was sitting on the sidelines when I should have been in the game. I get how that must have frustrated many of you who were out there passionately fighting for change.
I completely own my inaction. I know that my failure to participate in the collective effort might have seemed like I didn’t care or, worse, that I was indifferent to the very real issues at stake. The energy, the hopes, the dreams of a better future were all out there, and I didn’t join the chorus of voices fighting for it. It was wrong of me to not show up in the way that many of you did, and I truly regret not being part of that collective spirit.
Moving forward, I plan to educate myself more on the issues and look for genuine opportunities to engage and contribute positively. I want to be a better ally and a more active participant in our shared goals. If you're willing, I’d love to chat about how I can further support our cause and learn from your experiences. Thank you for your patience, and I hope we can move past this together.
