I’m truly sorry for the words I said about you only wanting me for pleasure and not being there emotionally. I realize now how deeply hurtful that was, and I never meant to make you feel like I think of you in a negative way. The last thing I want is for you to feel misunderstood or unloved by me. I take full responsibility for what I said. It was unfair and didn’t reflect how much I value you—not just as my husband but as my partner and friend. I’m sorry for causing you pain and making you doubt how I see you. You mean so much more to me than I expressed in that moment. I want to do better in showing you that I appreciate every part of who you are, including the emotional support you give me and the love we share. I’m going to be more mindful about how I talk when I’m upset because I never want my words to tear us down. If you’re open to it, I’d really like to talk about how we both feel and work through this together. Please know I’m here, ready to listen whenever you’re ready. I love you, and I want us to heal from this.
