I'm sorry I went quiet and left you wondering if everything was okay between us. I can see how my silence felt like being shrugged off, and that was unfair to you — you deserve clarity, not guessing games. I take full responsibility: I chose to be distant instead of telling you what I was feeling, and that choice put you in an anxious spot. I know it made you feel unimportant and unsure, and I hate that I caused you to doubt us. I don't want to dress this up or blame busy days — I messed up in how I handled it. I also want to keep the mood light because I love you and I know that sometimes a little laughter helps: apparently I'm excellent at creating cliffhangers worthy of a soap opera, minus the dramatic music. But joking aside, I know that’s not what you needed. To make it right, I’ll start telling you when I need a minute instead of disappearing, send a quick “I need a sec” text if I can’t respond properly, and make a better effort to check in at least once when I go off-grid. If you want, I’ll also set a daily five-minute check-in so you never have to wonder.
