Misunderstanding a Gesture with a Friend

I need to start by saying I’m really sorry for what happened. When I saw that girl making those gestures, I completely jumped to conclusions without thinking it through. I didn't consider how my actions would affect you, especially given your background and experiences. I get that my decision to show you what she did led to anger and frustration, and that’s the last thing I wanted to cause. It was a thoughtless move on my part, and I can see how it could have felt disrespectful and hurtful to you. I should have approached the situation differently, maybe by talking to you first instead of reacting in the moment. I want to take full responsibility for that. I’m committed to being more aware and thoughtful in the future, especially when it comes to sensitive topics. If there's any way I can make it up to you, please let me know.
