Apologizing for Hurtful Words and Actions

I want to start by saying how sorry I am for the things I said—especially saying “marry me husk” in a way that was out of line, and, most importantly, using the n-word. I realize now how hurtful and disrespectful that was, and I’m truly sorry for the pain and discomfort I caused you and anyone else who heard it. I didn’t fully grasp how damaging those words could be, but that’s no excuse. I take full responsibility for my actions and the impact they had on you as my friend. I never want to be someone who makes you or anyone else feel disrespected or unsafe, and I’m deeply sorry that I did. I’m committed to educating myself more about why those words are harmful and making sure I never say anything like that again. I want to do better because you and our friendship mean a lot to me. If you’re open to it, I’d really like to talk more about this whenever you feel ready. I understand if you need space, and I’ll respect that too. Thanks for hearing me out.
