Apologizing for Neglecting Our Friendship

I want to apologize for the way I handled things with Nani and how it affected our friendship. I realize now that by becoming close with her without talking to you first, I crossed a boundary I should have respected. I can imagine it felt like I was sidelining you or not valuing our friendship, and I’m really sorry for making you feel that way. It was wrong of me to jump into that friendship without considering how it might impact you or how you’d feel about it. I take full responsibility for not being more thoughtful and open with you. I never meant to hurt or exclude you, but I see now that my actions did exactly that. Moving forward, I want to be more mindful about how my choices affect you and make sure we’re on the same page before I get involved with people close to you. If you’re open to it, I’d like to talk about how we can rebuild the trust that got shaken and find a way to move past this together. I understand if you need some time or space, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to chat. Your friendship means a lot to me, and I hope we can work through this.
