Apologizing for Hurtful Words to Dad

I’m truly sorry for how I spoke to you today. My words were hurtful, and I know they affected you. I realize that when I react to things you say, it can come off as disrespectful, and that’s not how I want to treat you—especially not you, my dad. You’ve always been there for me, and I love you for that. It’s hard to admit, but I let my frustration get the best of me. I know that I have to work on letting go of the past and not letting little things bother me so much. I want to do better, not just for me, but for us. You deserve my respect and love, and today, I didn’t show that. Moving forward, I promise to take a step back when I’m feeling overwhelmed and to communicate more calmly. I want to create a space where we can talk openly, without tension or hurt feelings. I hope we can hit the reset button. I want to focus on our relationship and let go of what’s bothering me. I love you, and I want you to know that I’m committed to doing better. Whenever you’re ready, I’d love to talk about it.
