Causing Harm to Your Boyfriend

I am so sorry for what I did—I can’t imagine how shocked and upset you must have been when I shot your boyfriend with that salt and pepper shotgun. I want you to know that I take full responsibility for my actions, and I deeply regret causing you pain and fear. It was wrong of me to act on impulse without thinking about how it would affect you or him. I understand that this has probably shaken your trust in me, and I hate that I put our relationship in jeopardy. You deserve to feel safe and supported, especially by your family, and I failed to provide that in this moment. I’m sorry for the hurt and confusion I caused you. I’m going to be more mindful and work on controlling my reactions better so something like this never happens again. If it would help, I’m open to talking about this whenever you feel ready, or hearing what you need from me to start rebuilding trust.
