Mistreating Naylani

I want to start by sincerely apologizing for how I treated Naylani recently. I realize now that my words and actions were hurtful and not at all the way she deserves to be treated, especially by someone who cares for her. I can see how my behavior may have made her feel neglected and unvalued, and I’m truly sorry for that. Naylani is such a bright and special young person, and I regret that I allowed my frustrations to overshadow the love and support I should have shown her. I understand that my actions may have also affected you, as her grandma, and I want to acknowledge the concern and disappointment that must have caused you. I take full responsibility for my actions. There’s no excuse for treating her that way, and I am committed to ensuring it doesn’t happen again. I’m taking time to reflect on what I can do better, including being more mindful of my words and how they affect those around me. I also plan to have a heart-to-heart talk with Naylani, where I can express my heartfelt apologies to her directly and reassure her of my support. I hope we can find a way to move forward from this. I value the relationship we all share and would love to talk when you feel ready. Your feelings matter to me, and I want to do everything I can to rebuild the trust that was shaken.
