I’m truly sorry for missing your visit and not getting back to you with my address when you first asked. I realize how disappointing it must have been for you to come all this way, especially since it’s been far too long since we’ve seen each other. I can only imagine how excited you were to spend time together, and I completely understand how my lack of response would feel hurtful. I take full responsibility for not reaching out with my address after our initial conversation, and then for not being home when you called this time. I should have communicated better and made sure you knew you were welcome. You deserved my attention and a warm welcome, and instead, I let you down.
