Apologizing for Misunderstanding Our Sleepover Plans

I want to start by saying I’m truly sorry for what happened the last time I visited. I didn’t listen to you when you wanted me to come cuddle with you, and I know that must have hurt your feelings. You were excited to have me there, and I let you down by not respecting what you needed. It’s important for you to feel safe and loved, especially when we’re together, and I realize now that I missed that opportunity. Not remembering saying I’d come in later doesn’t change the fact that my actions didn’t match what you were hoping for, and I really regret that. You deserved better from me. I want you to know that I take full responsibility for this and understand how I made you feel. It was wrong of me, and I want to do better next time. I promise to be more mindful in the future and to always listen to what you need, especially when we are together. I hope you can forgive me, even though I know that might take some time. If you ever feel ready to talk, I would love the chance to hear how you feel and to make things right between us. You mean so much to me, and I miss you dearly.
