Misunderstanding Family Support Boundaries

I want to sincerely apologize for my recent comments regarding my father's relationship with my brother during his transition. I realize that my statement, suggesting I wouldn't immediately disown my father for expressing negativity, was deeply hurtful and completely inappropriate. It was not my intention to diminish the importance of support and understanding in this sensitive situation, but I see now how my words may have felt dismissive to many of you who care deeply about these issues. I acknowledge the responsibility I hold, both as an individual and as someone who influences others. By failing to prioritize unconditional support for my brother and those who relate to his experience, I missed an opportunity to express the empathy and respect that is essential in our community. I understand how this may have impacted you, and I regret the disappointment my comments have caused. Moving forward, I am committed to being more mindful of my words and the implications they carry. I will make it a priority to engage in conversations that promote understanding and compassion and to actively listen to the experiences of others in this journey. Thank you for your understanding as I work through this misstep.
