Apologizing for Hurting You

I want to sincerely apologize for hitting you earlier. There’s no excuse for my behavior, and I deeply regret causing you pain, especially since you’re my best friend. I realize that reacting physically was completely wrong and must have hurt you not just physically but emotionally too. You didn’t deserve that from me, and I’m truly sorry for crossing that line. I understand that what I did could have damaged the trust and safety that our friendship is built on, and that thought really weighs on me. Moving forward, I’m committed to managing my frustration better and finding healthier ways to communicate when I feel overwhelmed. I value our friendship far too much to let something like this happen again. If you’re open to it, I’d really like to talk when you feel ready, to listen to how you’re feeling and figure out how I can make things right.
