An apology
Words That Hurt You, Words I Regret
Dear Wife,
I've been thinking about what I said, and I can't stop feeling how much it hurt you. I was careless with my words, and worse—I wasn't thinking about you when I said them. I was only thinking about myself, and that's no excuse. You didn't deserve that.
I know saying sorry doesn't undo what I said or how it made you feel. But I need you to know that I see it now—I see how it landed, and I hate that I'm the one who put that hurt there. I'm going to be more careful with how I speak to you, because you matter too much to me to be thoughtless.
I love you. And I'm truly sorry.
Noor
