Phone Died While Waiting to Hear Your Voice
To My girlfriend,
I'm sorry for being unreachable all day. I wasn't ignoring you — I was using my phone and fell asleep, and it died before I could charge it. But I know that doesn't change how it felt on your end. You were probably trying to reach me, and instead you just got silence. That frustrates me too, because I was waiting to hear your voice after your shift.
I should have been more careful. I could have set a reminder to charge it, or at least texted you before it went dead so you'd know what happened. Instead you were left wondering, and that wasn't fair to you.
I'm really sorry. Next time I'll make sure my phone stays on for you — no excuses.
