I hurt you and I'm so sorry

I hate that I hurt you. You didn't deserve that, and I know saying sorry doesn't undo what happened — but I need you to know how much I regret it. You mean everything to me, and the thought of causing you pain makes my heart break.

I'm going to do better. Not because I'm making empty promises, but because you matter too much for me to keep hurting you like this. I'm going to pay attention, think before I act, and actually show you through my actions that you're safe with me.
