An apology
Breaking My Promise When You Needed Me Most
To Bubu my Bujji baby,
I promised myself I'd take care of you during your periods, and I didn't. I know how much you need support then—how your body needs rest and care—and instead of showing up for you, I pushed about eating in a way that made you feel worse, not better. That wasn't love. That was me failing you when you were already vulnerable.
I see now how that hurt you. How it made you pull away and stop talking to me. And I hate that I did that, especially knowing how much you needed gentleness from me.
I'm truly sorry, Bujji. I'm going to do better. Next time, I'll listen to what you actually need, I'll be patient, and I'll show up for you the way I promised. You deserve that care—soft, no pressure, just me being there. Please forgive me.
