Police Shaming and Making You Uncomfortable

I'm sorry for going off on that rant about police the other day. I wasn't thinking about how it might land for you, and I ended up making you feel like I was judging something you care about or that you should feel disgust about it too. That wasn't fair.

You have your own relationship with that stuff, and I shouldn't have come at it the way I did—all heavy-handed and preachy. I was caught up in my own thing and missed the fact that I was making you uncomfortable in the process.

I'm going to be more thoughtful about how I bring things up with you. You deserve to have conversations where you feel respected, not like someone's trying to convince you to feel a certain way. I appreciate you, and I'm sorry.
